School Supply Bargains
I need some advice for buying art supplies for the first time!?
I am a high school student, and I want to expand my art portfolio before i go into art three next year. I want to buy some acrylic paints (possibly liquitex Basics brand) a set of paintbrushes in different sizes, and a canvas. I have about a 40$ budget, any suggestions for acrylic paint brands? I was going for the liquitex Basics brand. I want good quality paint but not too expensive for a high school student. Also, which store should I go to, Joann fabrics or Michaels? Which, in your opinion has better prices and bargains? Michaels lists their products, but not their prices online so I have no way to compare prices. Any advice would be great and much appreciated! Thanks 
Liquitex is a good brand. You might also want to purchase some gloss medium (I use Windsor & Newton’s Galleria brand). It helps keep the acrylics from drying so fast and is also great to use as a glaze finish. It improves your depth of color and transparency also.
